Center logo
- Torch : Represent the olympic torch.
- Filbert : To distinguish the military federation from the civil federations.
- Sword : Symbolise justice and Nobleness.
- The three olympic circlets symbolises:
   * The council of military sports (CISM).
   * The military arab federation.
   * The sports federations.

History of the center
- In 1943 the french army established the combat and skiing school in HARET HREIK on the way to the beirut international airoport.
- In 1946 the french army handed over the school to the lebanease army; Captain Aziz Ahdab take on the first commandement.
- In 1952, Lebanon became a member of the international council of military sports (cism), where he participated in many international events.
- Lebanon is a member of the executive office of the military arab sports federation which is connected to the arab league.
- In 1968 lebanon was chosen as a center of the middle east connection related to the international military sports council.
- In 1978 the school name changed to high sports military center.
- In 1982 during the israeli invasion to lebanon the center was destroyed.



Organization and structure
The high sports military center is located in Hareit Hreik city on the east side of the main road leading to beirut international airoport. The structure of the center :

- Command of the center.
- Branchs and the secretariats.
- Platoon of services.
- Platoon of sports teams.

Establishments and Stadiums
- Halls of combats games (judo - takwandoo - body building - fencing - boxing - wrestling).
- Fields (volley ball - hand ball - basket ball - foot ball).

In 15/1/2003 the military sports complexe named as president Emile lahood military sports complex was opened in Mar roukoz - Dahr Al Housayn city sponsered by prince Sultan bin Al nahyan the prince of united arab emirates and he is affilieted the the main center. This center is considered as one of the finest sports centers in lebanon. This center include :

- Indoors hall for ball games (baskest ball - voley ball - hand ball) to seat 3000 spectales.
- Different halls of combat games (judo - takwandoo wrestling - boxing).
- A sophiticated shooting field.

This center is distinguished by his great design and his location overlooking to the sea.



Missions
On the army plane
- Preperation and organisation of the physical fitness of the soldiers to remain in the shape to carry out different missions.
- Preperation and organisation of internal championships in the lebanese army in different type of games (military and sports events).
- Preparation of army teams in order to participate in the social and international sports events.
- Carrying out sports exams for candidates how are qualified to resume private courses in and out of lebanon.
- Carrying out military championship games of the new tripartite for officers.
- Presenting help and technical advices to all military units.
- Organisation of private tournements which lead to the improvement of the military sports (arbitration tournement - practice tournements - sports tournements for officers).

On the sports federations level
- Preparation of the army teams in group and individual plays to participate in local and international sports championships.
- The center coordinate with the ministry of sport and the lebanese olympic committee and other special organisation to organise a freindly events.
- According to the edict number 4944 in 29/3/1994 the lebanes army was considered a member of all lebanese federation.



Important facts
The army teams participated in the following championships :

- The 11th arab championship of athletics from 20/10/1999 to 24/10/1999.
- Judo arab championship from 6 to 7/11/1999.
- The first arab volley ball championship from 10/1/2000 till 15/1/2000 in Jounyeh - Lebanon.
- The international military cross country in algiers during february 2000.
- The first arab championship in hand-ball in syria from 1/5/2000 till 11/5/2000.
- Training course in military pentathlon in syria from 10/6/2000 till 20/6/2000.
- The world military championship in pentathlon in Denmark from 11/8/2000 to 20/8/2000.
- The arab championship in table tennis from 2/7/2000 to 7/7/2000 in Ghazir - Lebanon.
- The world military championship in pentathlon in belgium from 21/8/2001 till 30/8/2001.
- As a member of the lebanese national team in athletics participated in the second arab championship in syria from 10/9/2001 till 6/10/2001.
- The thirty fourth world military championship in orienteering in Portugal from 8/10/2001 till 14/10/2001.

The lebanese army organised :
- The fourth military arab championship in running in beirut from 3/6/2000 till 7/6/2000.
- The international olympic day in south lebanon with the participation of all lebanese federations and social associations during the month of july 2000.
- The 44th world military championship in basket-ball that was held in the sports city (beirut) from 7/11/2000 till 17/11/2000.
