During the meeting, General Kahwagi offered his condolences to the families of the martyrs and wished a fast recovery to the injured. General Kahwagi also commended what Qaa and other border villages represent as a first defense line in the face of terrorism and stated that the fact that terrorists are rushing to explode themselves before reaching other regions is a pertinent proof of the awareness of the army and the citizens that has frustrated their schemes. Moreover, General Kahwagi assured the citizens that the army has the will and the capability to continue to fight this terrorism that does not discriminate any religion or sect. General Kahwagi also stressed that no terrorist act, regardless of the severity, would influence the army's firm decision to fight terrorism, protect Lebanon and preserve its stability.
Archbishop Rahal thanked General Kahwagi for his presence and assured that the villagers will stay faithful to their land regardless of the dangers and will stand side by side with the army. Archbishop Rahal also called upon the citizens to no fear and to fully trust the army's capability to protect them.
