A workshop entitled: “The educational sector in Lebanon, between reality and hope” in the center of research and strategic studies
The center of research and strategic studies held in cooperation with the “civil influence meeting” a workshop entitled: “The educational sector in Lebanon, between reality and hope”. The workshop was attended by the minister of Education Mr. Elias Bou Saab, college and academic professors, educational figures and a number of officers.
Mr. Saab delivered a speech during the inauguration ceremony in which he exposed the difficulties facing education in Lebanon in both the public and the private sectors. Mr. Saab also mentioned the efforts exerted by the ministry in order to tackle these difficulties and the work mechanism in order to develop the educational sector in its different stages and levels, for this sector to remain a guiding light that raises generations to the highest posts at the scientific, cultural and economic levels. Mr. Saab also commended the extraordinary cooperation offered by the LAF in this field as well as the LAF measures to provide security for exams and different educational activities. Afterwards, the director of the center and several figures in the workshop delivered speeches in which they stressed the importance of the educational sector in Lebanon and its relation with stability and national security.
Furthermore, participants had their interventions concerning the reality and the available data of the educational sector in Lebanon as well as ways to develop it through scientific approaches that pave the way for building sustainable policies concerning this issue.
A discussion circle then took place where participants conversed about the situation of the educational sector as well as ways to match it with the sectors in civilized and stable communities.
Furthermore, a closing session was held in which Brigadier General P.S.C Abi Farraj recited the closing statements and the recommendations.
