Promoted to Captain on 25/12/1929
Promoted to Lieutenant Colonel on 12/25/1937
Promoted to Colonel on 1/25/1942
Promoted to Brigadier General on 1/25/1944
Promoted to Major General on 12/1/1946
Promoted to General on 8/1/1949




3- Functions:
Attached to the first Syrian joint legion on 9/2/1923
Assigned to the 2nd Orient regiment on 7/1/1925
Assigned to the 1st regiment of snipers as a commander of the 2nd company at Rachaya Garrison on 11/7/1930
Assigned to the 1st Orient regiment on 3/5/1935
Assigned to the 1st regiment of snipers, as an assistant to the Commander of the regiment on 7/1/1936
Attached to the war staff of the high command, Division of the Orient Special Armies, on 11/16/1936
Assigned to the Staff of war of the 3rd brigade on 11/1/1937
Assigned to the 2nd regiment of snipers, and transferred to the Lebanese Republic , war staff Command of regions on 9/20/1939
Re- assigned to the war staff of the 3rd brigade on 1/6/1940
Was appointed commander of the 2nd regiment of snipers on 9/11/1940
Attached to the war staff of the high command- Section of the Orient Special Armies on 8/5/1941
Was appointed commander of the 5th legion of mountains on 4/20/1944
Attached as an assistant to the commander of the coastline and regions troops of the Lebanese Republic on 2/16/1945
Appointed as the Lebanese Armed Forces Commander, following delivery of the Army to the Lebanese government on 8/1/1945
Conducted in his capacity as the higher commander of the Lebanese Army and the supplemented Forces, the Military operations in Palestine as from 5/14/1948 and until 3/21/1949
Was appointed as Prime Minister and minister of Interior and National Defense on 9/18/1952 , the date of resignation of the President of the Republic, in addition to keeping his position in the Army Command from 9/18/1952 and until 9/30/1952
Was appointed minister of National Defense on 11/18/1956, in addition to keeping his position in the Army Command
Retired from active service on 9/23/1958 for being elected the President of the Republic
Passed away on 4/25/1973
