14 Army troops injured in el-Biddewi – Tripoli

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 9/1/2020, a group of youngsters blocked the highway in el-Biddewi using rocks and cement bricks. LAF units deployed in the area intervened immediately to open the road and they were targeted with Molotov cocktails and stones. The confrontation led to the light injury of 14 troops and 8 individuals were arrested for committing acts of vandalism and causing the injury of the troops in the said region.

Investigation is underway under the supervision of the relevant judiciary authorities.
