The Armed Forces Commander held a meeting with company grade officers in the LAF

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun held in Yarzeh a meeting with company grade officers in the LAF with the presence of the command staff and the commanders of major units where he informed them of the international and local situation and the affairs of the military institution. He then gave his directives concerning the units’ missions in the coming phase, primarily continuing the war against terrorism, facing the threats of the Israeli enemy and preserving security and stability. General Aoun also commended the qualitative operations recently executed by the Intelligence Directorate and military units in Ersal. Moreover, The Armed Forces Commander confirmed that the security situation in the country is in its best state and that the extraordinary touristic activity that the Lebanese territories are witnessing this year is mainly due to the intensive efforts exerted by the LAF and the other security units in order to spread security and stability. Furthermore, in the context of continuing the war against terrorism, General Aoun pointed out that the achievements of the LAF in this frame occur almost daily and that the morale of terrorists has hit rock bottom as a result of the painful preemptive operations executed by the LAF. General Aoun also stated that what distinguishes the LAF in its military operations is its complete commitment to the principles of the International Humanitarian Law, particularly its commitment to the preserve the safety innocent citizens and residents and this is what was clear lately through the dangerous injury of numerous soldiers as a result of terrorists using innocent civilians as human shields.

The Armed Forces Commander concluded his meeting by calling on company grade officers who are the main pillar and young blood of the LAF to be further prepared and ready to sacrifice, whether in facing the Israeli threats at the Southern borders or in the frame of continuing the military operations in order to paralyze the capabilities of terrorists and chasing them out of the eastern borders.
