THE ARMY HEADQUARTERS DECLARES THE SAD DEMISE OF RETIRED BRIGADIER GENERAL FARES ZIADEH

The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation declares the sad demise of retired Brigadier General Fares Ziadeh who passed away on 25/2/2020 and the following excerpts offer a summary of his biography:

• Born on 24/3/1950 in Ablah – Zahle.
• Enlisted in the Army on 15/9/1969 and rose through the ranks and became Brigadier General starting 1/1/1999.
• Received several medals and the commendation of the LAF Commander several times.
• Followed several training courses in Lebanon and abroad.
• Married with one child.

The body of the deceased will be transported at 10:00 on 26/2/2020 from Kesrouwan Medical Center to the Cathedral of Saydet el-Ataya – Adma where the funeral will take place on the same day at 15:00 in the mentioned cathedral. The body will be then transported to his final resting place in Fiyadieh – Baabda and the burial will take place at the cemetery of the family.

Condolences can be paid before and after the funeral and on 27 and 28/2/2020 starting 11: until 19:00 at the hall of Saydet el-Ataya Cathedral – Adma.
