Arrest of a Syrian affiliated to Jabhat el-Nosra in Wadi el-Hosn

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On this date and following close surveillance targeting terrorist organizations, the Intelligence Directorate arrested in Wadi – el – Hosn – Ersal the Syrian national Ahmad Ali Batha a.k.a “Abu Ali el-Hourany – el Hout” for his affiliation to “Jabhat el-Nusra terrorist organization. Batha is also wanted for his participation in the fighting against the LAF in Ersal on 2/8/2014 and for being an expert in manufacturing missiles and explosives and laying IEDs. He additionally booby-trapped vehicles and transported them into Lebanese territories during past stages. During the raid, army troops seized explosives with the wanted perpetrator.

Investigation is underway under the supervision of the relevant judiciary authorities.
