Arrest of the Syrian Wael Mohammad el-Kallas el-Halabi

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As a result of investigations and follow up efforts and following a raid that targeted a room inside the Beddawi Oil facilities, a Lebanese Army Directorate of Intelligence unit managed to arrest the Syrian Wael Mohammad el-Kallas el-Halabi (born in 1997) for the crime of shooting the Lebanese citizen Fadi Moustapha el-Shalabi (born in 1971) and killing him.

Investigations in the incident began under the supervision of the relevant judiciary authorities.
