Arresting Lebanese Ibrahim Ahmad Zaarour and Syrian Ouday Hussein el Khatib

The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
As a result of monitoring and follow up in Ersal, the Intelligence Directorate arrested key leaders in the terrorist ISIS organization, Lebanese Ibrahim Ahmad Zaarour and Syrian Ouday Hussein el Khatib who participated in the battles against the LAF in Ersal and in surveying the movements of the LAF as well as planning for several terrorist operations using rigged cars and bombs in order to target army posts. Khatib had also participated in detonating the headquarters of the scientists committee of Qalamoun in Ersal and targeting an army patrol while heading to the location of detonation. He had also contacted Abou l Ward, connected with the suicide bombers in Qaa.
Interrogations were carried out with the arrested individuals under the supervision of the relevant authorities.
