Blank artillery shells will be fired on the beginning of Ramadan

The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

 

On the occasion of the Holy month of Ramadan, army units stationed in Beirut – the North – the South – the Bekaa Valley will be firing three blank canon shells the night that witnesses the declaration of the beginning of Ramadan. One shot will be fired on daily basis at dawn (Imsak) and at sunset (Iftar). Three shots will also be fired upon declaring the date of Eid al-Fitr at the end of the month.
