Chief of Staff Major General P.S.C Hatem Mallak toured the region of Bekaa and Rayak Airbase
Chief of Staff Major General P.S.C Hatem Mallak toured the military region of Bekaa in Ablah where he toured the command and the posts of Intelligence, military healthcare and military police as well as the command of the 3rd land border regiment. Major General Mallak also inspected Rayak Airbase and toured the Air Force School and affiliated workshops as well as the command of the 6th Intervention Regiment in the base where he was informed of the situation and activities of these units.
The Chief of Staff commended the efforts of soldiers in preserving the security of Bekaa, particularly fighting narcotics trafficking and pursuing wanted individuals. Major General Mallak confirmed that the effort of the LAF in this phase consists of border control from infiltration and smuggling operation as well as fighting the activities of terrorist cells in various Lebanese regions. Major General Mallak confirmed that the major accomplishments achieved by the LAF in facing terrorism despite its modest capabilities is mainly due to the competence of the human factor, qualitative training and the spirit of military conduct and sicipline between soldiers.
Major General Mallak ended by calling upon the soldiers to be fully prepared to preserve the security of the coming elections during the coming spring.
