Clarification concerning bribes paid in return for enlisting Cadet Officers at the Military Academy

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following clarification statement:

At a previous timing and following confirmed information concerning bribes collected in return for enlisting Cadet Officers in the Military Academy, 7 individuals were arrested and turned in to the relevant judicial authorities for the suspicion of paying and receiving bribes in the aforementioned issue. The Army Command would like to point out that the acts committed by these individuals have no connection with the Military Institution, its values and the ethics of its members and that the Command has strived without hesitation to unveil and call to account any perpetrator that violates the rules and regulations. Furthermore, the Command is strongly committed to the principle of transparency in accountability away from deceptions and defamations that do not rely on legal and factual evidence. The Army Command urges the media to abstain from addressing critical issues related to the military institution for the Command is committed more than any other side to resolve its issues and to resume all investigations in case any individuals were truly involved in this case.
