A clash in Basatin – Aley

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

At 2.00 am, in Basatin – Aley, while intoxicated due to alcohol, Rayan Merhi was attempting to enter the square of the building in which Minister Saleh el Gharib resides. LAF members in the military post assigned to the protection of residence intervened. However, the clash escalated when the personal protection members of Minister el Gharib intervened, resulting in opening fire from one of the minister’s protection agents, leading to the injury of Merhi in his legs. Merhi was transferred to a hospital for treatment.

LAF units took the necessary measures in the region while the ISF are investigating the incident under the supervision of the relevant authorities.
