Closing of roads and illegal border crossings in el-Hermel

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the actions taken to control the border and prevent smuggling, a Lebanese Army unit and an Intelligence Directorate patrol closed three roads with earthen berms at the area of Ras el-Mal in el-Hermel after they were used to smuggle stolen vehicles. Army forces also closed two illegal border crossings in el-Mesherfeh as well as five dirt roads in Harf el-Sammaka – el-Hermel, all of which were used to smuggle stolen vehicles and merchandise.
