Different chemicals found in Ward No. 15 at the Port of Beirut and handled safely

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

A number of social media pages and websites reported that hazardous and inflammable materials were found in Ward No.5 at the Port of Beirut, which could lead to a blast if exposed to high temperature.

The Army Command points out that its units continue to inspect the materials found in the port. On this day, LAF found different chemicals in Ward No. 15, which were handled properly according to scientific and safe methods, and then transported to safe places so that they no longer pose a threat to public health and safety.
