Egyptian terrorist Abou Khattab arrested

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

An intelligence directorate arrested at an entrance for Ain el Helwe camp wanted Egyptian individual Fadi Ibrahim Ahmad Ali, AKA “ Abou Khattab”, for belonging to the terrorist “ Fath el Islam” organization. Ali is considered one of the most wanted terrorists for forming a terrorist cell working for ISIS. Most of the members of the cell were arrested and had planned to target LAF posts and troops and certain religious and touristic sites in several Lebanese regions. The arrested individual participated in the battles against the LAF in Tripoli in 2014 along with terrorists Oussama Mansour and Chadi Mawlawi. He had left Ain el Helwe in September 2017 and broadcasted a video documenting his exit from the camp, before going back to the mentioned camp in February 2018, carrying on with his terrorist activity in planning security actions inside Lebanon.

Investigations with the arrested individual were carried out under the supervision of the relevant authorities.
