The funeral of the martyred Conscript Corporal Ahmad Khaled Saqer in the town of Kachlak – Akar

The Army Command and the people of Kachlak – Akkar organized the funeral of the martyred Conscript Corporal Ahmad Khaled Saqer who was martyred on 27/9/2020 after a terrorist group attacks an army post in the northern area of Araman – al Minya.
The funeral was attended by a crowd of citizens and soldiers, and ceremony of honoring took place at the governmental hospital – Tripoli, where a unit of Military Police and Army Band performed the ritual ceremonials. The martyr was granted the medals of war, the wounded and military appreciation of Bronze degree. Following the ceremonies, the body of the martyr was transported to the mentioned village.
Colonel Engineer Omar Barakat, representing Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Mrs. Zeina Akar and LAF Commander in chief General Joseph Aoun, delivered a speech in which he praised the heroism of the martyr and his dedication in performing his military duty. The Colonel added in his speech: “Our country is facing a multitude of challenges at different levels, particularly economically and socially, which put a strain on the security situation and the capacity of LAF to accomplish its mission effectively. But the Military Institution that was born out of  our homeland and protected every Lebanese citizen, will not hesitate in performing its duties, especially in the fight against terrorism to dismantle its cells”.
