Handover ceremony of a donation offered by the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Lebanese Army

The town of Brih - Chouf hosted this morning the handover ceremony of equipment for the waste treatment plant, offered as a donation by the kingdom Netherland.
This was within the CIMIC project in the presence of the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Lebanon, Mr. Hans Peter van Der Woude, the representative of the Lebanese Army Commander in Chief, General Joseph Aoun,  acting director of CIMIC, Brigadier General P.S.C. Elie Abi Rached, two representatives of the Ministers of Environment and Agriculture and the Head of Lebanon Office at DCAF (Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance), Mr. Adam Styp-Rekowski, in addition to a number of district officials and the mayors of Arqoub and Al Harf municipalities, and a number of townspeople.
The Ambassador Van Der Woude delivered a speech in which he affirmed his country's continued support for Lebanon and the CIMIC projects, indicating that it is looking forward to implementing more of these projects that support the Lebanese people.
Then, the representative of General Aoun delivered a speech in which he considered that the aid provided by friendly countries, especially the Kingdom of the Netherlands, constitutes one of the most prominent supporters of Lebanon. He thanked the Kingdom, its embassy in Lebanon, and the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF) for their efforts to complete the project.
