Individuals arrested and an amount of fuel, other materials set for smuggling seized

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

From 18/06/2021 till 22/06/2021, the army units deployed in the North and Bekaa arrested 18 Lebanese, Syrian and Palestinian detainees, and thwarted the attempted smuggling of a quantity of fuel into Syrian territory, including: 11,000 liters of diesel and 2,000 liters of gasoline, in addition to a quantity of flour, smoke and tobacco, all loaded in 3 cisterns, 4 cars, 6 pick-up trucks, 2 vans.

The arrested individuals and the seized items were turned in to the competent judicial authorities.
