Meetings of Armed forces commander General Aoun

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun received in his office in Yarzeh the head of the Loyalty to the Resistance Parliamentary Bloc MP. Mohammad Raad and Hajj Wafik Safa. Discussions addressed the general situation and the latest developments in the country. General Aoun also received the UNIFIL Commander Major General Michael Beary with whom he discussed the situation at the southern border and the ongoing coordination between both sides in the frame of implementing resolution 1701.
General Aoun also received the Ambassador of Palestine to Lebanon Mr. Ashraf Dabbour who was accompanied by two officials from “Fateh” Movement Azzam el-Ahmad and Fathi abou el-Ardat. Talks during the visit focused on the situation in the Palestinian camps. In related news, General Aoun received the head of the Lebanese – Palestinian Dialogue Committee and former minister Hasan Mneimneh who headed an accompanying delegation. Another meeting joined General Aoun with the head of the National News Agency Ms. Laure Sleiman. General Aoun also met during the day with the head of Dekwaneh municipality Councilor Antoine Shakhtoura who headed an accompanying delegation and talks during these visits addressed general issues.
