Meetings of General Aoun

LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun received in his office in Yarzeh MP Tarek el-Merehbi accompanied by former MP Talal el-Merehbi. General Aoun also received during the day Chief of Staff of the United Nations Truce Supervision Organization Major General Kristin Lund with whom he discussed the general situation in Lebanon and the region. General Aoun also met with the Ambassador of France to Lebanon Mr. Bruno Foucher accompanied by French Defense Attaché Colonel Fabrice Chapelle and their discussions addressed the relations of cooperation between the armed forces of both countries.
General Aoun also received during the day the C.E.O and General Manager of Liban Post Mr. Khalil Daoud who headed an accompanying delegation. During this meeting, Mr. Khalil Daoud offered to General Aoun the sum of money that Liban Post raised after organizing an auction over a painting of the Lebanese cedar on the occasion of Independence Day drawn by the internationally renowned painter Mr. Nabil Nahas after it was bought by Mr. Saadallah Khalil. The returns of the auction will be offered later on to the families of army martyrs.
