A patrol under fire during the arrest of a wanted individual in Al-Sharawneh – Baalbek

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 13/10/2021, a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate managed to monitor the wanted (A.O) in Al-Sharawneh – Baalbek. 39 warrants had been issued for his arrest for various crimes, including: possession and trafficking of firearms, theft by force of arms, shooting and wounding several individuals, kidnappings of civilians and military men, threats, forgery and use of forged documents.

The patrol came under fire from firearms and grenades, so it responded to the sources of fire, which led to the wounding of the wanted person, who was taken to a hospital in the area and died.

As a result, one of the military posts in Sharawneh came under fire, and the post's members responded in kind, without causing any casualties.
