Raids and arrests of wanted individuals in Hay Al joura – Bourj El Barajneh

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 12/01/2023, due to the outcome of monitoring and follow-up,  an army unit raided the residences of wanted individuals in Hay Al joura – Bourj El Barajneh in the southern suburbs, arresting 7 of them wanted for killing and drug dealing, along with the citizen (H.J.), who is wanted for being one of the most dangerous drug dealers, abuser, and smuggler in the area,  and for opening fire towards an army patrol, throwing hand grenades, opening fire rocket-propelled grenades, killing the Palestinian (H.M.) and wounding others, theft and robbery by force of arms, causing clashes and extortion.

An exchange of gunfire occurred, and as a result, 7 minor injuries occurred among the soldiers, and 2 injuries among the wanted individuals. A firearm, 2 handguns, an amount of drugs, and ammunition were seized.

The seized items were handed over and the investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
