Thursday, 16 February 2017

The Army Headquarters - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
Despite the resolutions issued by the relevant authorities concerning the ban of hunting, some citizens continue to practice this hobby in different Lebanese regions including the South Litani region in violation of these resolutions, leading to the legal pursuit of the perpetrator.
The privacy of the operations zone in South Litani and the measures taken by the LAF in implementation of resolution 1701 regarding the ban of any armed existence in the area except for military and security forces and UNIFIL units, imposes a strict ban of hunting, particularly around military posts and along the blue line.
The Army Headquarters would like to remind all citizens of the necessity to abide by the resolutions of hunting ban and to refrain from roaming with any sort of weapons, particularly in the South Litani region until the international borders, under the penalty of arresting the perpetrators and turning them in to the relevant authorities.
