Security measures during the past month of June

The Army Headquarters - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As a result of the security measures taken by Army units in different Lebanese regions during the past month of June, 292 individuals of different nationalities were arrested for their involvement in different crimes.

The mentioned crimes include: drug traffic, theft, smuggling, possession of weapons, contraband, entering Lebanese territories without proper documents, driving motorcycles and vehicles without proper documents.

The seized items included 27 weapons of different types, light and medium caliber ammunition, a number of vehicles, motorcycles, fishing boats, a quantity of ammunition and communication devices.

The suspects were turned in along with the seized items to the relevant authorities to take the necessary measures.
