Security Measures Taken By The LAF During November In Various Lebanese Regions

The Army Headquarters - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As a result of the security measures taken by Army units in different Lebanese regions during the past month of December, these units arrested around 7375 individuals of different nationalities, some of them for being involved in terrorist crimes, opening fire, assaulting citizens, trafficking narcotics, theft, smuggling and possession of weapons and narcotics and others for committing different violations that include unlawful roaming in the Lebanese territories and unlawfully driving cars and motorcycles.

The confiscated items amounted to 12 combat rifles, 10 guns, 11 grenades, 1 rifle grenade, 20 hunting rifles, 1 Mortar missile and an amount of light ammunition, narcotics and smuggled tobacco as well as IT devices, communication devices and surveillance cameras in addition to 111 cars, 2 trucks, 7 fishing boats and 85 motorcycles.

The arrested individuals were turned in along with the confiscated items to the relevant authorities in order to take the necessary measures.
