Tasks completed by the emergency room on 12/8/2020

  • Distribution of 18 food rations offered to the advanced emergency room.
  • Distribution of 500 hot meals, in coordination with the Lebanese Red Cross, to the soldiers assisting in removing the debris.
  • Evacuation and isolation of 4 buildings threatened with collapse by Beirut Municipality Police.
  • Sending 4 small bulldozers and 5 pickup trucks to locations where removing the debris is needed.
  • Meeting with SOS Attitude Association with regard to offering 4 assistance tents to the Lebanese Red Cross.
  • Meeting with the “Istiklal” Association to provide medications and meals through centers in Beirut area Meeting with Mr. Jad el-Rayes to provide a team of volunteers ready to work in different sectors noting that they need to erect a tent at the meeting point.
  • Meeting with representatives of Mohamed Choueib’s firm to launch the electronic national map application and to coordinate volunteering work in Lebanon.
  • Meeting with Mr. Toni el Houayek, the representative of the Disaster Management Unit to provide depot and engineers platforms to help and report daily achievements.
  • Meeting with the representative of Volunteer Engineers Association to provide engineering and design consultations, engineering studies and re-building as well as urgent restoration works.
  • Meeting with the representative of the International Rescue Committee IRC concerning the financial aid and the reconstruction process.
  • Meeting with Father Abboud, the representative of Caritas, to provide financial aid aimed at rebuilding and restoring damaged buildings.
  • Meeting with Ali Amhaz, Hussein Al Arabi, and Khalil Amhaz the representatives of the Lebanese Emergency Unit to provide assistance in all the logistic and volunteering services.
  • Meeting with the representatives of “Kasr el-Tohat” Association to set the plan of building a field kitchen.
  • Meeting with the Democratic Women’s Association to provide different aid in sectors specified by the chamber: building materials, refrigerators, washing machines, foodstuffs, medications and many other.
  • Meeting with Une ONG Pour la Vie to present a project about desalination and to provide 100 wood houses (said houses can be built in 4 weeks) Meeting with Interos Joey-Ann Semaan concerning the possibility of providing detergents and specialized teams to protect and restore the houses.
