The Tripartite meeting in el-Naqoura

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

An exceptional tripartite meeting was convened in Ras el-Naqoura this morning. The meeting was presided by the International Force Commander, Head of Mission Major General Stefano Del Col and attended by a delegation of LAF officers headed by the Lebanese government coordinator before the UNIFIL Brigadier General Hasib Abdo.

The meeting addressed the latest security incidents along the Blue Line and the Lebanese delegation reiterated its commitment to implement Security Council Resolution 1701 with all its clauses.

The Lebanese side also stressed the importance of the Israeli enemy’s withdrawal from the occupied territories adjacent to the north side of the Blue Line, the farms of Chebaa and the hills of Kfarshouba as well as the occupied B1 area. The Lebanese side also confirmed the importance of listing the occupied B1 area in future UN reports as it is the case concerning the other mentioned areas.
