Tripartite meeting in Ras el Naqoura

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

On 07/04/2021, a special tripartite meeting was held in Ras al-Naqoura, chaired by the Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon - UNIFIL, Head of Mission, Major General Stefano Del Col, and attended by a delegation of LAF officers headed by the Lebanese Government Coordinator with UNIFIL, Brigadier General P. S. C. Hasib Abdo, while taking necessary precautions against the COVID-19 pandemic.

The meeting dealt with recent incidents that took place along the Blue Line. The Lebanese side condemned the Israeli enemy’s continuous violations of Lebanese sovereignty, by land, sea and air, and reaffirmed its commitment to UN resolutions, especially resolution 1701 and all of its components.

The Lebanese delegation also expressed the urge for a withdrawal of the Israeli enemy forces from all the occupied territories, including: the area adjacent to the north of the Blue Line, the Shebaa Farms and the Kfarshouba hills, the northern part of the Ghajar area, and the occupied B1 point, reaffirming the necessity to include the spot in the forthcoming United Nations reports and decisions, similar to the rest of the aforementioned occupied territories.
