Tripartite meeting in Ras el Naqoura headed by the International Force Commander

The Army Headquarters - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:  
On 22/9/2016 at 9:30, a tripartite meeting was held in Ras el Naqoura, presided by the UNIFIL Commander General Michael Beary with the presence of a delegation from LAF Officers headed by the coordinator of the Lebanese Government Brigadier General Mohammad Janbay. Discussions focused on the implementation of resolution 1701 as well as the recent incidents in the South of Litani.
General Beary stressed the importance of the tripartite meetings and focused on the importance of adopting a coordination and liaison mechanism to avoid any incidents on the ground. General Beary demanded the immediate cessation of aerial violations and the immediate withdrawal from the village of Ghajar.
The Lebanese side highlighted the Israeli violations by land, air and at sea and demanded their immediate cessation.
