Unveiling Ceremony of a commemorative plaque and inauguration of the 12th Infantry Brigade Special training center

Under the patronage of the LAF Commander General Joseph Aoun represented by Deputy Chief of Staff for Operations Brigadier General P.S.C Nawaf el-Jebbawi, the 12th Infantry Brigade Headquarters – Bahjat Ghanem barrack – el-Kobbeh hosted the Unveiling Ceremony of a commemorative plaque and inauguration of the Brigade’s special training center in the presence of the United Kingdom Ambassador to Lebanon Mr. Chris Rampling. The center was built thanks to the support of the “March” Institute headed by Ms. Lea Baroudy and funding provided by the U.K. Embassy. Ms. Baroudy and Ambassador Rampling both stressed the importance of the ongoing cooperation with the military institution whose troops offered sacrifices for the sake of preserving peace and stability for the citizens.

Brigadier General P.S.C el-Jebbawi delivered a speech in which he highlighted the importance of this developed center in light of the situation that the country is witnessing as well as the defensive and the security missions entrusted to the LAF, bearing in mind that the LAF was and remains vigilant in preserving peace internally and at the border and particularly in the city of Tripoli which has for long offered the elite of its sons to the LAF where they played an efficient role within the Military Institution.

At the end of the ceremony, Brigadier General el-Jebbawi offered commemorative shields to the U.K. Ambassador and to those who contributed to the establishment of the said center.
