The visit of the President of the Republic to the Army Headquarters in Yarzeh

His Excellency, the President of the Republic General Michel Aoun visited this morning the Army Headquarters in Yarzeh where he met with the Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun and discussions focused on the security situation in the country as well as the missions of the military institution and its different needs. Afterwards, the President of the Republic met withseveral high ranked officers and commanders of major units and independent regiments with the presence of General Aoun, the Chief of Staff Major General P.S.C Hatem Mallak and independent regiments. The President of the Republic commended the efforts of the army in preserving the stability of the country and defending the nation in facing the Israeli enemy and terrorism. Moreover, the President stressed during the meeting the importance of enrooting the security situation in the country.

Moreover, President Aoun confirmed the unity of the official and popular stance supporting the army’s preparedness at the southern borders in order to guarantee Lebanon’s rights in its land and naval borders and in a complete investment of economic and Oil resources in parallel with preserving the stability of the nation in cooperation and coordination with the UNIFIL in implementation of Resolution 1701.
