Visitors of the Armed Forces Commander

The Armed Forces Commander General Joseph Aoun received in his office in Yarzeh the Secretary General of the Development and Liberation Block MP Anwar el Khalil, accompanied by a delegation from Hasbaya, including the Archeparch of the Maronite Catholic Archeparchy of Tyre, Father Shukrallah Nabil El Hajj and several members of the Druze council and heads of municipalities, leagues and several clerks.

MP Khalil stated the following: “we came here to confirm our support to the LAF that is still the heart, shield and defense line of Lebanon. We support you in your critical role in preserving internal security stability that is the base of every stability, for we have lately noticed a scheme that targets the most blessed institution of the nation. The ultimate majority of citizens puts the LAF on top of any other national institution.” MP Khalil promised that he will follow up with the case of budget of the ministry of defense with the block and the budget committee and the parliament.

Archbishop Hage commended the sacrifices of the LAF and rebuked all campaigns against it. He also considered that the security that the people are rejoicing from is the fruit of those sacrifices.

Moreover, General Aoun stated: “thank you for your support to the military institution that is part of you. No army supported by its people was ever defeated and no army opposed by its people has ever triumphed, because all weapons in the world do not measure up to your love for this army.”
