Raid of a number of residences of wanted people in Al-Sharawneh – Baalbek
The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 15/01/2022, an army unit carried out raids to a number of residences of wanted people in Al-Sharawneh – Baalbek, after finding a Toyota Fj jeep in the town of Ain Burdai - Baalbek with a quantity of ammunition and military equipment inside it, and on its seats there were traces of blood and several bullet.
It turned out that a clash occurred in the town of Taybeh - Baalbek between people from the Jaafar family who were driving the aforementioned jeep and a citizen of the Yassin family. They were trying to steal livestock belonging to the latter. An exchange of fire took place between the two parties, which led to the injury of the wanted (N.H.), who fled to an unknown destination, and the wounding of an unidentified Syrian individual, which led to his death.
During the raids, the patrol seized a quantity of hashish and military equipment in the residence of the wanted (H.A. J.).
It also seized a number of surveillance cameras inside a house belonging to the wanted (H.A. J.).
The patrol found a booby-trapped iron gate behind the house of the wanted (A.J), where an explosives expert worked to dismantle the device which was not set for detonation.
In Al-Taybeh - Baalbek, an army unit raided the residence of citizen (H.Y.), without finding him.
The seized items were handed to the valid judiciary authorities, and the investigation has been initiated.
