“The unity and solidarity of the Lebanese people carry exceptional importance at this stage—particularly in supporting the Army’s national role, strengthening its capabilities, extending the authority of the state across all its territory, halting aggressions, and ending the Israeli occupation of Lebanese land.”
He added: “As for the Army’s plan in South Litani, it is advancing according to the established timeline. The progress achieved in recent months constitutes a major accomplishment. The institution has offered many martyrs and wounded in the line of duty, and we must honor their blood and sacrifices. We should also commend the people of the South for standing by the Army and supporting its national role.”
He affirmed that Lebanon remains committed to the cessation of hostilities agreement and to Resolution 1701, in full cooperation with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL).
He also emphasized that the Army’s units are carrying out all their duties across the country with the highest levels of professionalism.
