The army arrests 10 people as part of security measures and seizes weapons, military ammunition, and a large quantity of drugs

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Army units carried out security measures in various Lebanese regions, including raids, mechanized patrols, and the establishment of temporary checkpoints, resulting in the arrest of 10 people, as follows:

The citizens (AA.Z.) and (H.SH.) were arrested at Safri checkpoint - Baalbek for allegedly opening fire. A pistol, military ammunition, and an amount of counterfeit money were found in their possession.

The Citizens (Z.SH) and (H.SH.) and the Syrians (M.AA.) and (A.A.) were arrested at Khodr checkpoint - Baalbek for possessing a military-grade weapon and a quantity of drugs.

The residences of wanted individuals in Brital - Baalbek, were raided, resulting in the arrest of citizens (H.W.) and (M.Y.). Weapons, military ammunition, and a quantity of drugs were found in their possession.

A Palestinian (A.A.) was arrested in Mina - Tripoli for his involvement in an altercation during which gunfire occurred. A pistol and military ammunition were found in his possession.

Following a series of security surveillance and monitoring operations, an army unit also raided the home of citizen (H.B.) in Laylaki - Baabda. He was wanted for drug use and trafficking. He was arrested, and a large quantity of drugs was seized in his possession.

The seized items were handed over, and the investigation with the arrestees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
