On 16/12/2022, a Navy patrol, with the support of a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, arrested 31 Syrians on board a boat off the coast of Tripoli while they were trying to sneak out of the country illegally by sea. A child on board was also transferred to Tripoli Governmental Hospital for treatment.
The investigation was initiated with the arrestees under supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
