124 Syrian individuals and 3 Lebanese citizens arrested in Akkar and combat weapons and ammunition confiscated

The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

Army units deployed in Akkar executed at dawn a raid operation in a Syrian refugee camp in Rihaniye – Bebnin during which 124 Syrian individuals were arrested for unlawful roaming inside the Lebanese territories. Army forces also confiscated in their possession 44 motorcycles with no legal documents. Moreover, Army units arrested in Bireh 3 Lebanese individuals wanted for previously opening fire using combat weapons and confiscated in their possession a combat rifle and its ammunition in addition to several military equipments.
The arrested individuals were turned in along with the confiscated items to the relevant authorities in order to take the necessary measures.
