Evaluation of the security measures taken throughout the elections during the meeting of the LAF Commander General Jean Kahwagi with high ranked officers and commending the efforts of the members of the institution

On the occasion of the end of the municipal and governance elections, the LAF Commander General Jean Kahwagi held a meeting in Yarzeh that was attended by  the Chief of Staff Major General P.S.C Walid Salman and high ranked officers as well as commanders of major units. The meeting included the evaluation of the security measures performed by the Lebanese Armed Forces throughout the elections. Moreover, the LAF Commander General Jean Kahwagi commended the efforts of all the members of the military institution who participated or contributed to preserving the security of the elections as well as their commitment to the laws and military regulations and their professionalism and objectivity with all voters. General Kahwagi also confirmed that their will to end this national event with success in compliance with the delicate standards and security measures is once again a proof of the firm decision of the military institution and security units to protect the freedom, stability and democracy in the nation. Furthermore, General Kahwagi emphasized that the Lebanese Armed Forces pay the maximum attention to the security situation inside Lebanon and at the borders in order to frustrate the attempts of the terrorist groups to sabotage the stability in the country, particularly in the light of exceptional circumstances facing the region.
