Explosion of a bomb in "El – Amirkan" public square – Sidon

The Army Headquarters – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
At around 12:00 p.mو a bomb exploded at the "Amirkan" public square in Sidon. The bomb was placed inside a BMW vehicle driven by the "Fateh" movement official in Miye we Miye Fathi Zeidan and led to his death. Immediately following the explosion, army forces cordoned off the site and the military expert examined the area and determined that the bomb weighed around one Kilogram of explosive material. Investigation in the incident was initiated with the aim of uncovering the circumstances.
