Raid and arrest of 3 wanted individuals in Brital - Baalbek and Hay Al Selloum– Dahiyé Janoubiyeh in the framework of pursuing the chase of thieves and robbers

The Lebanese Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
As part of the pursuit of perpetrators of theft and robbery in various areas, the Intelligence Directorate carried out raid and arrest operations in Brital - Baalbek and Hay Al Selloum– Dahiyé Janoubiyeh, resulting in the arrest of 3 individuals as follows:
- Raid on the residence of the wanted individual (A.T.) in Brital and his arrest for forming a gang involved in car theft, transporting the stolen cars to the Bekaa Governorate, and smuggling them into Syrian territories. Several arrest warrants were issued against him for opening fire on an army patrol and stealing cars.
- Raid on the residence of the wanted individual (M.T.) in Brital and his arrest for committing crimes including kidnapping citizens, including the citizen (A.M.), robbery by force of arms, trading counterfeit currency and stolen cars, and shooting. A stolen car was found in his possession.
- Arrest of the individual (AA.J.) in Hay Al Selloum– Dahiyé Janoubiyeh for committing armed robbery and theft, appearing in videos on social media where he robbed citizens, as well as provoking clashes and firing shots on different occasions, and drug abuse. He confessed to committing around 120 robbery operations, 80 of which took place on the airport road.
The seized items were handed over, and the investigation with the arrestees was initiated under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
