A car crosses an army checkpoint in Chaat - Bekaa

The Army Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On 11/03/2022, a Toyota Tundra car with tinted glasses and with no plates tried to cross a temporary checkpoint that had been placed in Chaat – Bekaa, in which the driver refused to comply with troops orders to stop and passed iron spikes that the troops had placed in an attempt to prevent him from passing. This forced them to fire several shots in the air, then towards the car which was hit, spun out and ran into an electric pole. The driver was injured and soon met his demise.
A Kalashnikov rifle and its ammunition was seized in the car.
The seized items were handed over to the competent authorities, and an investigation was launched.
