Deployment of Army Units to Position in Ras al Naqoura, Alma al Shaab, Tayr Harfa - Tyre, Beit Lif - Bint Jbeil

The Lebanese Armed Forces Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
On January 7, 2025, army units began to deploy to positions in Ras al Naqoura, Alma al Shaab, Tayr Harfa - Tyre, Beit Lif - Bint Jbeil, and other towns in the western and central sectors following the withdrawal of the Israeli enemy from these areas. The deployment in Naqoura continues, and specialized units are conducting engineering surveys aimed at clearing unexploded ordnance, opening roads, and removing debris, in coordination with the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and the Five-Nation Committee overseeing the ceasefire agreement (Mechanism). This coincides with a tour of the area by the committee's chairman, the American general, its members, the French general, and the commander of the South Litani sector of the army.

The Army Command urges citizens to refrain from approaching the area and to adhere to the instructions of military units until the deployment is complete.
