Arrested of eight individuals in various locations, and a human smuggling operation by sea off the coast of al Aaridah was thwarted

The Army Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the security measures carried out by the military institution in various regions, army units, accompanied by patrols from the Intelligence Directorate, raided the residences of wanted individuals and arrested six citizens as follows:

Citizens (AA.A.H.), (KH.H.), and (AA.KH.H.) were arrested in Adous and Majdaloun – Baalbek, and weapons and military ammunition were seized in their possession.

Citizens (M.GH.), (AA.GH.), and (Y.GH.) were arrested in Khaldeh – Mount Lebanon, for shooting, weapons, and military ammunition were also seized in their possession.

Additionally, an army unit at Wadi Turkman checkpoint – Hermel, arrested the citizen (M.S.) and the Syrian (Y.CH.), a military weapon, a quantity of ammunition, and an amount of narcotics were seized in their possession.

Moreover, a navy Forces patrol in Al Aaridah successfully thwarted an attempt to smuggle 27 Syrians by sea illegally.

The seized items were handed over, and investigations with the arrestees began under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
