Arrest of Individuals for Committing Various Crimes, Including Shooting and Smuggling

The LAF Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
As part of the security measures implemented by the military institution across various regions, a LAF unit, supported by a patrol from the Intelligence Directorate, raided the residences of wanted individuals in the Hoch Al Omara – Zahle, arresting the citizens (M.AA.) and (F.J.), who were wanted for shooting. Additionally, LAF units arrested three individuals as follows:
•  Citizen (H.AA.) was arrested in Wadi Al Deb – Arsal for smuggling, and a quantity of drugs was found in his possession.
•  Citizen (A.Sh.) was arrested in Masnaa border area for smuggling gasoline into Syrian territory.
•  Syrian national (M.M.) was arrested in Al Qaa Projects – Baalbek for monitoring and filming a LAF patrol.

The seized items were handed over, and the investigation was initiated with the detainees under the supervision of the competent judicial authority.
