Arrest of Syrians as part of security measures in Bekaa at the Lebanese-Syrian Border

The LAF Command – Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

As part of the security measures implemented by the military institution in  Bekaa at the Lebanese-Syrian Border, LAF units arrested 67 Syrians last week for illegally entering Lebanese territory.

In this context, the LAF Command confirms that it is in constant communication with the Syrian authorities and is taking the necessary security measures to control the borders and maintain stability, including conducting patrols and establishing observation points.

The LAF also calls on the media to exercise caution in reporting news related to the situation at the border and to avoid publishing information that could create internal tension, urging them to refer to official LAF statements for accurate information.

The arrested individuals were handed over to the competent judicial authorities.
