Return of the Air Force helicopters to Al Klaayaat airport – Akkar after participating in extinguishing fires in the countryside of Latakia, Syria

The LAF Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:

The LAF Air Force helicopters returned to Al Klaayaat Airport – Akkar after taking part in extinguishing wildfires in the Latakia countryside in Syria from July 7 to July 13, 2025. Their mission concluded once the spread of the fires was halted and all fire hotspots across the affected areas were brought under control.

The Air Forces Commander in the Syrian Arab Army met with the Air Force personnel involved in the mission, praised their efforts, and commended the cooperation and coordination between the participating teams.
