Rescue of a Kidnapped Individual and Death of a Kidnap Armed Gang Leader and injury of its member during the Operation

The LAF Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
After monitoring and security follow-up operations by the Intelligence Directorate, the agency, supported by a unit from the LAF, raided the residences of wanted individuals in the outskirts of Nahle -- Baalbek, related to the kidnapping of the Syrian (M.Y.) on August 21, 2025. Several individuals were arrested, and the kidnapped person was successfully rescued.
During the raid, the suspects opened fire on the LAF personnel, who responded in kind, resulting in the death of the gang leader, the citizen (H.R.), and the injury of one of his associates, the citizen (A.R.). Weapons, ammunition, and military gear were seized from their possession.
The seized items have been handed over, and an investigation was initiated with the arrestees under the supervision of the competent judicial authorities.
