Denial of Allegations Regarding a LAF Officer Covering Up Involvement in the Killing of a UNIFIL Member

The LAF Command - Directorate of Orientation issued the following statement:
One of the hostile accounts on social media has made allegations regarding a LAF officer covering up for those involved in the killing of a member of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in December 2022.
The LAF Command denies these allegations and affirms that the officers of the military institution perform their national duty and carry out their missions with integrity and professionalism in various regions of Lebanon. The mentioned officer also played an important role in coordinating with UNIFIL and clarifying the circumstances of the incident, as part of the ongoing close cooperation between the army and UNIFIL.
Meanwhile, the Israeli enemy continues its daily aggressions and violations of national sovereignty, persists in occupying Lebanese territories, and spreads lies, demonstrating more than ever its determination to destabilize Lebanon's internal security.
